Vrasna
Vrasna is a traditional village in the mountain side of Strymonikos Bay, very close Asprovalta and Nea Vrasna.
Vrasna until early 1900 had called Vrasta. The name is said to have originated from a city which in antiquity was below the current location of Vrasna, the sea was called Vormiskos or Vromiskos.
In Vrasna passed the general Spartan Vrasidas, camped and then follow the road to the conquest of Amphipolis.
Vrasna are one of the most beautiful villages of the area. It is built with amazing view, at the start of the forest of Kerdyllia with traditional characteristics.
You can walk in the village and admire the architecture of the houses, visit the Folk Museum, enjoy local dishes in a traditional tavern, enjoy the panoramic views of the bay and visit the castle and fortress.
